White Oak Labs has actively supported the following organizations through board level participation.

Infragard

InfraGard Houston

InfraGard is a non-profit partnership between government, business and academia to help one another guard our national infrastructure. The FBI and the National Infrastructure Protection Center (NIPC) lead this partnership to share information between the private and public-sector at both the national and local levels. Infragard's mission is to continually enhance protection of our nation's critical infrastructures through information sharing, education outreach and advocacy of ethical behavior.

White Oak Labs has supported various efforts for education and outreach as a member in good standing of the Houston chapter of Infragard.

XFree86

The XFree86 Project, Inc

The XFree86 Project, Inc is the organization which produces XFree86™, a freely redistributable open-source implementation of the X Window System. XFree86 runs primarily on UNIX(R) and UNIX-like operating systems such as Linux, all of the BSD variants, Sun Solaris x86, Mac OS X (via Darwin), as well as other platforms like OS/2 and Cygwin. XFree86, provides a client/server interface between display hardware (the mouse, keyboard, and video displays) and the desktop environment while also providing both the windowing infrastructure and a standardized application interace (API). XFree86 is platform-independent, network-transparent and extensible.

White Oak Lab's founder was also a founding member of the XFree86 project and continues to contribute to this core technology in the unix markets.

FreeBSD

FreeBSD

FreeBSD is an advanced operating system for x86 compatible, DEC Alpha, IA-64, PC-98 and UltraSPARC architectures. It is derived from BSD UNIX, the version of UNIX developed at the University of California, Berkeley. It is developed and maintained by a large team of individuals. Additional platforms are in various stages of development.

White Oak Lab's founder was also a founding member of the FreeBSD core team and participated in it's development for over a decade.
